On July 23-29th we hosted a group of 66 short-termers from the United States to do medical clinics and evangelism in Ambato. We had 4 days of clinics where doctors and nurses saw people with medical concerns in the community and distributed basic medicines and vitamins. The rest of the group participated in a variety of activities such as prayer walks in the city, visitation and prayer in hospitals, and promotion events for the mega event held on Saturday night in the Llama Theater downtown. For the event we hosted special speaker Pastor Ferney, former cartel member of Cali, Colombia, now serving as one of the main leaders in the House of Prayer Church of the Nazarene in Cali. Around 400 people outside the short term team and church leaders attended and 76 people gave their lives to Christ. We estimated that at least 97 people accepted Christ as a direct result of Love Extreme in Ambato. Many are becoming involved regularly in our church. We are thankful to the many who sacrificed and traveled here to make a difference. The seeds have been planted and the harvest is ready.
